Forest products giant Weyerhaeuser Co., manufacturer of engineered wood products such as iLevel Trus Joist and iLevel Radiant Barrier Sheathing, announced August 17 that it has sold its commercial products business to a wholly owned subsidiary of Atlas Holdings. Four manufacturing plants focused on the commercial construction market, as well as 13 sales and engineering offices, were included in the transaction. About 230 employees at these facilities will be transferred to Atlas.
“The sale of these assets provides associates with a new owner that has the focus and long-term interest required for the commercial segment,” iLevel vice president of marketing and sales Carlos Guilherme said in a statement announcing the sale.
The transaction does not affect iLevel’s servicing of the single-family, multifamily, hospitality, and light commercial construction markets.
