The latest episode of Zonda’s Inspirational Leadership with the Best in Home Building podcast features Brent Herrington, president and CEO of DMB Development.

Herrington is a fifth-generation Texan and comes from a long line of farmers. As a young undeclared college student, he was unsure of what he wanted to do with his life. When a job program sent him to a master plan site, he stepped into the “war room” and found what he had been searching for. Over the last 24 years, Herrington has led several of the company’s flagship projects, including DC Ranch and Silverleaf in North Scottsdale, Arizona, and Kukui`ula on the island of Kauai, Hawaii.

“The business of planning communities is the greatest, most fun, most meaningful, most legacy-oriented thing that a person can do,” Herrington says.
