In the new episode of Zonda’s Inspirational Leadership with the Best in Home Building podcast series, principal Mollie Carmichael talks with Steve Alloy, president and CEO of Stanley Martin Homes, No. 24 on the 2022 Builder 100 and Builder of the Year for 2021.
Steve Alloy never intended to go into the family business of home building. As president and CEO, he is now in his 14th role within the company that his father put the “Martin” in Stanley Martin Homes. Alloy aims to be straightforward and vulnerable with his employees while explaining the “whys” of what Stanley Martin does every day.
To establish a connection, he meets every new hire that joins the company. “At Stanley Martin, we are very focused on the culture of the company and how we interact as individuals trying to all get this done,” Alloy says. “We make a big investment in who we bring in and how we all train and learn together.”
Each episode of the podcast series shares a personal conversation with a key thought leader in the housing industry. Tune in to hear more about Alloy, his passions, and ideas.
